Use truckload when you have a full trailer or freight that shouldn't be handled at terminals. The person who quotes your load books the carrier, tracks it, and calls you when it delivers. Reefer and flatbed run through that same person, so one call covers every trailer you ship.

We check the carrier before we tender the load
Before a carrier hauls for us, we check its operating authority, insurance, and safety record. The truck that backs into your dock is one we'd put our own freight on, whether it's a dry van, a reefer, or a flatbed.
One person from quote to POD
No handoff from a sales desk to a dispatch desk. The person who priced your load books the truck, makes the check calls, and sends the POD. They tell you what's in the rate and what could change it, like detention or a layover, before you book.
